So during my first trip into WvW I was terribly lost as to how you were supposed to use the interactive weapons on the keeps etc, and since they come up in PVE too i figured it was a good topic to address.

You will have at least 3 skills on one of these installations. Some of them have alternative fire modes or ammunition that give it more than three but the basic is to have a "turn left" "Fire" and "Turn Right".

The real trick is setting the range for your shot. I may simply be slow but it took me awhile to catch on to this, and perhaps it's because i have not played a class that uses held skills yet, but the firing strength (range) is set by how long you hold down the button. So the longer you hold button 2, the further the shot flys. It is still rather difficult to determine how long to hold, especially with lag, but at least if this is out there in our guild repository of knowledge we can make some use of these items.

Thank you. In the battle for claw Island, the catapult was SO useless that I actually SWAM OUT to the ship and dismantled it with my skill-bar. Took longer and seemed st00pid.
