If a Sylvari is a vegetarian, is it a cannibal?

If a Sylvari is a vegetarian, does that make it a cannibal?

Granted. But the hyothetical, "if it eats plants," (itself being vegetable) is the focus of my query. Your "eat dirt" postulation, while equally engaging, lies outside this proposal (which is intended purely for amusement - a la George Carlin).

Here's how I looked at this (in my usual answering a question with another question (and then answering that question) form).
If a human is a carnivore, is that human a cannibal?
The answer is that it's possible, but not necessarily true. Just because a person is a carnivore doesn't mean that person eats human meat. It's most likely the person eats other meats. So why should a Sylvari be placed into the category of cannibal for (most likely) just eating other plants? After this line of thinking, I answered no, because the question doesn't specify that the Sylvari would also be eating each other and I thought it fair (based on modern "first world" human standards) to assume they don't.
This discussion has gotten me thinking that a Sylvari could take a liking to the taste of human.. *shudders and pockets a lighter*
