Differences in Dynamic Level Adjustment Schemes
Dynamic level adjustment is a function that scales a character's level based on what game mode they are playing. When a character's level is scaled this way, the power of their skills and attributes also adjust accordingly, and their adjusted level is displayed in brackets next to their actual level:
* In PvE, a player's level is scaled down based on the difficulty of the area that they are in. Travelling to higher level areas will not scale the character's level up.
* In World versus World, a player's level is always scaled up to level 80. This only affects the player's attributes; all equipment, experience gained, skills and traits will advance at the character's actual level.
* In Structured PvP, a player's level is scaled up to level 80. All equipment, skills and traits become unlocked, allowing all players to participate on an even playing field.
